Our fabrication (build) team is in charge of building each season’s robot, in accordance with the CAD designs completed by the design team. In collaboration with mentors, the fabrication team has access to advanced technologies, such as water-jet and CNC machines. The team also uses other various materials, like polycarbonate, gears, nuts/bolts, belts, surgical tubing, wheels, motors, and more.  This sub-team works in close collaboration with the design/CAD and control systems teams to ensure the robot is functional and safe to operate.

Our strategy/scouting team is in charge of developing scouting applications to be used during competitions, and devising game strategies to optimize our scoring during these events. Working closely with our drive team, the scouting team works to provide up-to-date information on event competitors and scoring.

Each season, our design team is responsible for utilizing the CAD (Computer Aided Design) program Onshape to fully design a functional robot that meets the game requirements, and can be built by our fabrication team. This sub-team is also in charge of 3D designing and printing customized robot parts as needed.

Our control systems sub-team is in charge of writing the code for each robot. Using VS Code, and the programming language Java, this sub-team works in close collaboration with the fabrication and design teams to ensure the robot operates effectively. This sub-team is also in charge of designing and building an electronics board for the robot each year, and wiring all of the connections of different elements on the robot.

Our business, outreach, and media team is responsible for most non-technical aspects of the team. This sub-team runs our social media pages, documents team events and processes in image and video, and works with mentors to secure funds for the team through sponsorships and grants. This sub-team is also in charge of designing our original artwork and merchandise, including team buttons and t-shirts.
